"Fear in a World of shadows "
She’s just a small girl with wide, fearful eyes, In a world so dark, where innocence dies. She sees every face, not with trust, but with fear, For she knows the dangers that lurk so near. She’s heard the stories, seen the news, Of the horrors that make her lose The belief in kindness, the hope in love, In a world where cruelty reigns above. How can it be, she wonders at night, That a world so vast can feel so tight? Where girls like her can’t walk alone, Without the fear of the unknown. Every day, she hears of pain, Of girls and women, again and again, Taken by monsters in the dark, Their innocence stolen, leaving a mark. Even the smallest, a baby so new, Is not safe from what some men do, And even the animals, pure and true, Fall victim to the evil men pursue. How can this world be so cruel? Where lust becomes the driving rule? Where every woman lives in fear, Of a shadow that’s always near? She wishes for a world so bright, Where she can walk alone at night, Without the fear, without the pain, Where innocence can still remain. But until that day, she hides away, In a world where fear holds sway, A small girl with wide, tearful eyes.
