Fear
There's a sickening guilt to my smile today . Though sober , I'm stolen away by questions that quickly cruel any serendipity I may have stumbled upon . Are you sober ? Wouldn't this be easier If you weren't Was it always like this ? This fight with oblivion ? These questions compete for the spotlight until the cacophony of thought breaches the walls and an anxious coup snuffs out that smile from the inside , leaving a timid shade of fear in my eyes .
