Fantasy
*Fantasy* You were a fantasy, born of fevered dreams A moment's madness, when my heart's rhythms screamed But when I awoke, to reality's cold light You vanished, a specter, lost in morning's sight You were a fleeting thought, a creative spark A muse that fueled your art, a moment's embark But for me, you were a dream, a temporary reprieve A fantasy that faded, as my heart began to breathe Now, as I let go, why do you tremble with fear? I'll never speak of you, in any story, or tear You're just a memory, a ghost that haunts my past A reminder of a dream, that didn't last But one thing I despise, is the thought of your voice Saying my name, or words that make my heart rejoice I hate the thought of you, speaking words so divine "I love you" from your lips, a sound that's not mine So don't worry, I'll forget, and never speak your name You're just a fantasy, a moment's flame That flickered bright, but burned out, in the night Leaving me with nothing, but a distant, fading light.
