Fancy
I sat by the window side of the table Eyes drifted towards you, you're talking with Mara I never really liked her, but you said she was able So I believed you, you always wore the tiara I rested my head on the table, listening to you talking to her And the topic of her boyfriend was brought up, as always I took a deep breath as you two spoke, I didn't like him either But that's all she'd talk about, a false gaze The muttering continued, my ears open with a sigh As she mentioned that her boyfriend was the best boy nearby I scoffed silently, I know that's not true But thankfully, it didn't reach her and you The topic shifted, came onto crushes My body tensed, I pressed further against the benches But eventually, it hopped onto me When you asked me who I fancy. I panicked, and looked out to the end When my eyes fell on Mara's boyfriend's best friend He'd tried to hit on me, though it disgusted me to the brim But I just sigh, look down, and lie that it's him Cause how could I ever be true, Say that the one I fancied was you?
