Family Or Jury?
!!This is a VERY heavy poem that includes mentions of guns, firing squads, self-harm, death and suicide. Reader discretion is advised!! Look at this young girl on the stand. When she steps down, she'll be greeted by her own firing squad. Each one a thought, a reason Her finger stays steady on the triggers but her body shakes like an earthquake. The only home she's known is a courthouse, Her only book a bible to sware she'll hide, Her only family, a jury. But she has one friend, A small blade. Each cut she feels a little more free from the jury. But crime after crime led her to her death. Little did she know, she joined the jury and hurried to her own death. !!
