family but not a real one
I have a family, yet none to call mine, A sense of belonging, without a bloodline. No shared last name, no common past, Just echoes of hatredand fack love that will forever last. In dreams, I see faces, smiling and bright, Laughter and tears, through day and night. A mother's warmth which I hope was mine A father's gentle hand I long,so fine A sibling's protection and love I never got So familiar with a land I wish to get out of. But dawn breaks, and I awake alone, No family ties to call my own. Look at me with hatred that ache within A hollow Space of meI wish to fill A sense of belonging to feel I try hard but get downgraded It's a pain I hide, but gets paraded All hope getting shattered As the words of my own,to my soul scatters A look of disappointment flash through their faces I say it doesn't worry me, but to my heart, paces. Still, I hold on to love's invisible threads, The bonds that bind, though unseen, unsaid. For family's not just blood and bone, But hearts that beat, and love that's shown.
