Falling Without a Hand
I search for a hand when I stumble and fall, For someone to catch me, to answer my call. A shoulder to lean on, a heart that beats near, But every time I reach, there's no one here. I open my heart, let hope take its place, But they’re always with someone, I fade into space. A glance, a smile, then it slips away, And I'm left in the shadows, alone in dismay. Each time feels like the last, the end of the line, Yet I can't help but dream, though they’re never mine. The cycle spins, I break, I mend, And wonder if this ache will ever end. I want someone to stay, to know, to see, To be more than a stranger passing by me. But here I am, back where I began, Falling again, without a hand.
