"FAKE People" Pt 2
You tell them the truth You let your secrets fall right through You accept them in your pack Then you mistake they’ve got your back Oh, you know we all do it too Misjudge them as “cool” Somebody you think you should talk to About your problems About that controlling boyfriend You think they’re true Until they turn on you Fake people, manikins everywhere See your secrets filling in the air, they stare They glare, they all look at you You want to run away to the place you feel you can be real Past them, ignore their eyes Their looks of thrill is hypnotized Hurry, toss that penny in that wishing well And pray for God to reveal Which people are real Fake people, we don’t know who to trust We think we do, but now we’ve have enough We can’t stop hiding I guess we’ll just trust nobody And it hurts, to see your friends the same As the fake ones playing along with their silly games Just laughing, and whispering secrets in each others ears Now they see you, and they want to be friends They’re just going to neglect you in the end Face your fears, hide away your tears FAKE PEOPLE? What's their deal?
