Faint Heart & Trembling
Pray, pray, pray... It never seems to be enough. It never seems to last for a century No matter how fervent. Do You ever grow weary of it? A father may grow weary of the tears of his sons. Do You? My heart breaks when I see my loved ones weep. My heavenly Father and All-Provider, is this the same with You? I want to reassure myself of Your mighty works from the past. I want to remember the good days that ran light and with laughter. I want to stamp my faith in You. But I keep finding myself caught in the web of darkness. It is hard on my weak flesh. I know the words of Your anointed Yet, it appears fainter than a whisper in my time of need. I know Your might exceeds the mightiest of today and the days to come Yet, I feel it like I feel the harshness of the sun at noon day. I pray this prayer to You. That You strengthen my knees to stand when I'm weak. That You strengthen my faith to look to You as I walk everyday on deep waters. That You give me understanding to cast out the doubts the serpent placed in my heart. Keep me, Great Father! Never blink Your eye while you watch me. Never let the birds of the sky seize me from You.
