Fading Love
In love, my heart did bloom, a fragile flower clinging to hope/ With him, my love did soar, like a bird on a gentle breeze/ But then, a truth was spoken, a truth that shattered dreams/ I told him of our child, a gift of love between us/ His eyes, once filled with passion, now turned cold and distant/ He whispered words of goodbye, as if our love meant nothing/ And like a ghost, he vanished, leaving me alone in sorrow/ A single tear fell softly, like a raindrop in the night/ Now I stand here broken, my heart aching in the silence/ A love once bright and hopeful, now faded into darkness/ The emptiness consumes me, a void that cannot be filled/ I am left to bear this burden, alone with my unborn child/ The echoes of his footsteps, fading into the distance/ A cruel reminder of a love that was once so pure/ In love with a man who leaves, after learning of our child/ My heart now aches with longing, for a love that can never be.
