Fading Light
I am breaking down slowly. Every second of my breath sings the hope of a better tomorrow, but when the sun goes down, my heart is so heavy I can't even cry. So I laugh at how much I've fallen. Yes, I laugh at my failures – a laugh that shields my pride, so no one sees through me. Yes, I wear it boldly, with shame and guilty, for I can't remember how I lost my way. My heart yearns for someone to free me from the prison I built myself. Someone to teach me how to dance to the tone of karma, for I've lost my steps and focus. Someone to bring a little meaning to my existence, for I am a walking dead.
