Fading Footsteps
It was a cold night, and I walked down a dark street, my ankle aching from the sprain and my mind feeling drained. My heart felt broken, weighed down by emotions I couldn’t shake. The taste of wine still lingered on my tongue, a bitter mix of regret and longing, as I made my way through the quiet city. Scars on my lips, reminders of past pain, made each step feel heavier. My eyes were filled with tears, but I kept moving. The sound of loud cars passing by reminded me that life kept going, even as I felt stuck. My thoughts were just as loud, racing with questions I had no answers for. I wandered through the night, trapped in memories and empty thoughts, unsure of what I was really looking for.
