Fading Embers
Your essence lingers within my soul, A bittersweet reminder of moments we once shared whole. Memories of our adventures beckon me to return, Yet, I hesitate, for the you I knew is no longer concerned. My heart still yearns for the connection we once knew, But fear holds me back, for the truth I've yet to break through. I'm torn between the love I hold and the uncertainty, Of whether you'll receive it, now that you're no longer the same to me. In the silence, I confess the emotions that I've concealed, A love so pure, yet fragile, and the fear that it revealed. Now, I'm left to ponder the fate of this love so true, A love that beats only for you. What shall I do with this love, this flame that burns so bright? Shall I let it flicker away, or find the courage to ignite? For even in the uncertainty, my heart remains devoted to you, A love that time and change cannot subdue.
