Fading Echoes of a Fleeting Lo
There was a girl, her spirit bright, Whose heart was opened in the soft moonlight. A boy's confession, like a gentle song, Made her believe that love could be so strong. She clung to his words, like a fragile vine, Ignoring the doubts that whispered in her mind. She said she'd try, though her soul was scared, For in his eyes, she thought she was cared. The days went by in a bittersweet blur, Filled with stolen glances and a love that stirred. But then, like a dream that fades at dawn, The boy was gone, and the girl was drawn. Into a pit of pain, a darkness deep, Where her tears fell silently as she tried to sleep. She wondered why he left without a sound, Leaving her heartbroken, lost and bound. This cruel twist of fate, a bitter pill, Taught her a truth that made her heart still. Not to race towards love's uncertain shore, For it can break you, leave you wanting more. She had been a lover, full of trust, But now she knew that love could turn to dust. She'd guard her heart, with a newfound key, And wait for love that was meant to be.
