Faded Dreams

In English we say you betrayed me , in poetry we say ; Unlike before, when your presence made me feel safe, Now my heart finds solace in your distance, They say time heals, but it's stolen my delight, Eroded trust, and snuffed out hope's gentle light. The dreams we built, a solid structure in my mind, Have fled with tears that flow like a river, leaving pain behind. Our future plans, once vibrant, now lost and grey, Washed away by the tides of heartache, day by day.
