Facade III : What someone sees
(re-feel version) A boy once cried Rivers of golden It flows smooth as milk, sweet as honey It shimmers flawlessly metal, sparkles like the million stars Yet the boy can’t see it, for his eyes closed in gloom A boy once cried Rivers of pitch Black and nasty, as it barely flows Bubbling hot, it sizzles the moment it reaches the ground Burning the boy’s face was the black, nasty lines Yet he hugs his chest, pooling the black just above his soul A boy once cried Rivers of crystals Clear as ice, yet it blurs what’s beyond Hidden was the many scratches the rough crystal brought And sea of shards lost to the surface A boy once cried Rivers of draught Countless cracks mark its thirsty bottom A silent witness to his countless tears Gold, black and clear Yet none told him his final fear A single mirror, a cracked mirror A single question, his only question “What he truly was, and will be?” A single shard fell down, and thus was his decree
