Eyes that judge
Walking in this room, I feel watched, Eyes on me, their gaze unmatched. Peering too deep within, Assuming they see the real me, such a sin. They think they grasp the now, But the me they think they see, Is the me they want to see, not the how. It's the version they desire, A facade, a mask, a self-made mire. They don't know me, not a clue, Yet watch my every move, judging with every step I take. Within a room, it's comical how, One can judge with just a single look. It disgusts me how their eyes never seem to fade, Away into a distance or focus on another. Rather, they seek comfort in what they seek, But hidden behind the truth of that comfort. Focused on the version they want, Forgetting the ignorance they display. How foolish it is to judge so blind, Without knowing the soul, the kind. Selfish eyes, wandering free, In a room of judgmental eyes.
