Expectations
Oh expectations. At the age of 5 You had me wrapped around your fingers. My imaginations were beyond this world No matter how much l got disappointed. I always thought highly of you. Loosing hope in you wasn't hard at 9 I was taken from my comfort. Because of you. I did not even realize it immediately But as much as reality hits slowly it hits deeply at the end. I slowly drifted way from you. My imaginations began to go black and blurry You disappeared like ping pong π Funny how without you I felt dark and happy Nothing could ever go wrong cause you are gone. You creeped back into my life like a toxic boyfriend. Once again l was subject to your affliction. I did not know how you completely got hold of me. But that's your similarity with reality You slowly walk back into my life and now the 5 year old me got nothing on me. I hold on to you now more than you do and l hate that.
