Existing in Love's Despair
In shadows cast by a forlorn moon's light, A heart once whole, now cloaked in endless night. I died the day you left, an agonizing blow, Now I'm just existing, lost in the undertow. No vibrant hues paint the canvas of my days, Only muted shades, where sadness always stays. The world moves on, oblivious to my strife, But within, I'm entangled in the web of life. Once, love's fire burned with a brilliant flame, But now, the embers flicker, bearing no name. Whispers of your voice, now echoes in the wind, I'm left in solitude, a soul that can't rescind. I wander through the remnants of our broken dreams, Lost in memories, where hope no longer gleams. Every breath I take, an empty sigh of despair, For in your absence, life seems but a vacant stare. The sun may rise and set, the seasons come and go, Yet my existence remains in this endless woe. I yearn for solace, a respite from this pain, But my soul is shackled, bound in love's disdain. Though I'm just existing, a mere shell of who I was, I'll cling to fragments of our love, bound by fragile trust.
