Exam Assurance

What’s it even called— that feeling you get when exams draw near? Some call it fever. Some call it jitters. Some call it doubt. I call this period "Exam Szn". Because if everything in life has a season, why not exams? ’Tis the season you meet friends you’ve never seen before. ’Tis the season of busyness, stress, and exhaustion. A time to cram 150 pages in one day for some. A time of endless night readings. A time of unwarranted sleepovers. A period where new relationships and deep connections are made. During this season, the brain suffers most. And to think, great minds say we only use 5% of our medulla! For me, how do I know exam season is truly near? I begin to dream about exams. In those dreams, I don’t do so well. What does it mean? I ponder… Is it an early warning sign? Or the Great One giving me a nudge, a heads up? But it’s nothing to fear. Because in the real thing—I nail it. The Great One and I have always been in covenant. Even when it seems I’m not prepared, or haven’t covered much. But tell me— is anyone really ever fully ready for exams? That feeling you get when ’tis the season… I personally call it Assurance.
