Everybody Leaves
I wanted you to kiss me. It won't happen, but I wanted it. And now more than ever, I want to be alone. Alone, on my own. Alone like an animal boxed in a cage. I don't want you or your sympathy. I want to hold on to you but everybody leaves. I'm trying to hold on to you but everybody leaves. I'm caught delaying myself, but after all, everybody leaves. I have to isolate myself. Say, "Stay happy," but how am I supposed to be happy when everybody leaves. Leave me.
