Every Little Nothing
I see you in everything, every song, every poem, every movie, every painting every person, every little nothing. I feel you in the air, I smell the smell of you, that unmistakable scent that I still can't decipher. I see you in the sun and in the stars, and I see you in the words another said that make me think of you. I see you in the sand as I let every last grain slip out of my hand. I see you in my room, and I look a little longer, it's us, you and me curled up in my bedsheets, smiling so wide it looks like it hurts. Now I lay in the bed we did and cry into the pillow that once held you. Everything that makes me think of you hurts, but you're everywhere. What am I to do but think of you.
