Even stars dim, being human
Why am I like this? A question I find myself asking a majority of the time. Because I love people. So much. So deeply. I love with everything I am— yet it never feels like enough. Why am I like this? I know I’m not perfect. But no one is. Even the stars dim. Even the lights go out. And when everything falls silent, and the moon is high in the sky— that’s when life truly feels quiet. Everything seems to stop... yet the world continues to spin. Life goes on. So why am I like this? I know I’m not a good person. Then again—who is? I try my damnedest to love. To protect. But even the strongest walls crack. There is no such thing as peace. Only quiet moments— fleeting flashes of calm, or joy— that pass. But that… that is what makes life worth living. It isn’t about the lows. It isn’t about the pain. It’s about watching the sunset. It’s about being with friends. It’s about the food you love and the things that bring you peace. The mundane. The small things in life— those are what make the world go round. That’s what makes it worth living. So, if you find yourself asking, Why am I like this? Think back. (pt 1)
