Equal In Death
When life's final breath is gone, And death's dark shadow is strong, People laugh and move on with glee, But family grieves, in misery. My heart sinks low, a heavy weight, When I behold a lifeless fate, No matter rich or poor, we're all the same, In death's eyes, no wealth or fame. Looks deceive, but soul's the key, God sees the heart, not what we see, Greed and pride, a hollow claim, For in His eyes, they're but a stain. We all are equal, in life and death, No one is better, no one has more breath, Let's treat each other with love and care, For in the end, we're all just human there. Let's cherish life, and all its might, And show compassion, day and night, For when we're gone, it's not the wealth, But love and kindness that give us health.
