Ephesians
I know that you lie But could you tell me why? And I know that you cheat Even if you think it's discrete I don't want to be mad I don't want to be sad I don't want to hold a grudge Cause who am I to judge? I'm told to forgive and forget But will that be something I soon regret? But then my mind clears and I am reminded: He was nailed When he should've been hailed He was cut When it should've been anything but He deserved gems But instead go thorns And then he would die While his mother would cry He should've been mad He should've been sad But instead he decided to forgive And show us some mercy So that eternal life he could give To those who were unworthy If he can forgive the very sins that killed him Then maybe I can forgive the very person who's killing me
