Ephemeral Events
I see people I’ve met in life as events I’ve attended… Some are extravagant parties with lots of balloons and confetti, people dancing here and there but at the end of the riot and shallow happiness, all that was left was exhaustion and emptiness. Some are like graduation days where a ceremony is needed, and there are a lot of speeches, mostly superficial words that I don’t want to hear, and always signals an ending and a new beginning. Some are like wedding days where we make vows and plans. Almost each day is colorful and lively and lots of people support us including family, and it makes me look forward to forever, but not all lasts. Some stay, some betray. And then there are burials, where my world is pitch-black and I cannot fly higher above my sorrow. This is the type that consumes, exhausts and eat you alive. These people build your world, painted it yellow, then splashed it with black later on, stealing your self-worth, and leaving you in pieces. ©reddragonfly
