When the world ended and my life came crashing down and all the pieces I was walking on vanished from the ground you were there, you were a tight rope my one and only lifeline you laid your life, a single rope down for me to walk across and climb and from the great pit in the earth you helped me to escape you saved me when I had no hope and did your best to keep me safe and when I reached the top I can't begin to describe the view Your eyes, the skies were sweet relief That beautiful, hope renewing blue and The tall trees encompassing, a perfect shelter from the elements just like your arms, safe and warm To me, you were heaven sent It's to you, I owe my life the life that you did save So I gave you my word and my hand from now until the grave and I took your last name and together entwined No more are we separate entities but one in the same For the rest of our days until the end of this life You, my husband And I, eternally, your loving wife
