Endymion
All I asked for was to sleep. For Hypnos to pull me in before I felt the sun god's rays on my skin in the beautiful morning. So why can't I wake up? What darkness has consumed me? Pushed me so far down into our mother that shades begin to swarm me? And why, once in a while, do I feel the pressure of love forced upon me? Even in sleep, the feeling plagues my dreams. And the thought scares me that if I were awake, I still would be frozen. Trapped by love I did not ask for. No, not love. A carnivorous desire with the strength of the moon's pull on the ocean. All I asked for was to sleep. But now my only wish is to wake up.
