empty words
"I love you," they say, but it feels like a lie, A hollow echo that fades as time slips by. You speak the words, yet your actions betray, Leaving me questioning if love's just a play. Why say the words if you don’t feel the weight? Why pretend when it’s already too late? I try, I hope, yet I’m drowning in doubt, While you carry on, never figuring it out. Inside, I’m breaking, but you never see, The pain you’ve caused, the shattered me. I’d rather face silence than hear your deceit, For honesty’s love is a truth we both need. So please, don’t say it if you don’t mean it, For the lies only deepen the wound, the deficit. It’s better to be alone than lost in this game, A heart that’s ignored, never feeling the same.
