Empty Promise

I hate when people say sorry, To me, sorry is a promise, a promise to change, but people say it so lightly, it makes me mad. Sorry is a promise, but people use it so often that they don't mean it, it becomes an empty word, an empty promise of change, Why say sorry when you're not? Why make an empty promise? Why turn one of the most important words in any language, a word that could break people, into nothing more than a common phrase or response? It makes me mad when people say sorry.
