Empty Corridor
The door slams and I'm on the floor in the empty corridor. Yet my mind is still in there Still where I heard the noise I couldn't bear. The overlapping voices echo and I'm alone So terribly upset, now comes the regret. It's the punishment I fear, the possibility draws ever near. All over the noises I can hear. My thoughts slowly begin to centre. Maybe, now I can re enter. But now I focus on the potential sneers, the gossiping girls, the laughter and jeers. I take a deep breath. Hours in my mind but it begins to clear. Not a minute has passed out here. The door slams and I'm on the floor. In the empty corridor
