Embracing Self-Evolution
I'm slowly beginning to accept And understand myself. For years, I've failed to do so, Always hiding myself from the world, Afraid that if I were too exposed, I would shatter like glass. But I've realized that sometimes, A person needs to be betrayed And shattered by the world in order To evolve, to learn more about life. A glass might be hard to fix or might Not even be fixable when shattered. But still, that's a lesson learned because When you evolve in life, there's still A part that remains shattered. You just have to try and heal it, Even when there are cracks. Those cracks will be a forever Reminder of the lessons learned and an inspiration for your evolution. So yes, my heart has been broken. Yes, my heart has shattered into Pieces many times. But I have learned From them and learned how to value And love myself. So, I thank those who Have hurt me, leaving me in pieces, And chuckle because from that, I have evolved and learned from My mistakes, valuing and loving myself.
