Elusive self
"The Elusive Self" I'm asked to describe myself, to tell my tale, But words falter, and my mind goes stale. I'm ordinary, nothing special to claim, No remarkable feats, no extraordinary fame. I want to change the world, but how? My dreams and aspirations, still unclear somehow. I'm caught between what I was, what I am, and what I'll be, Uncertain which path to take, which identity to see. Do I share my passions, my music, my hobbies too? Or do I speak of accomplishments, of all I've been through? But can these things define me, capture my essence true? Or am I more than the sum of my interests, anew? In this modern world, where labels abound, I struggle to find my place, my voice, my sound. I want to say so much, but words fail me still, Leaving me with silence, and an uncertain will. Yet, perhaps it's okay to not have all the answers, To be a work in progress, with evolving canvases. Maybe self-discovery is a lifelong quest, And embracing the unknown is where true growth finds rest.
