eight legged beauty
as the poised spider weaves her delicate web, a lizard scurries over and breaks her creation. it was an accident, of course, but the eight legged beauty is flickered with disappointment. she began weaving yet again, but this time, the web was weak. and so she started once more, discouraged, but determined. she made a strong, silky web and she was so proud. it sustained rain with it's thunderous clouds and wondrous deer leaping through the meadow. but one night just as the others, a man was walking through the meadow. with no respect for nature, he thwarted her. but the 8 legged beauty's web still stands.
