Eid Memories
Ever since I was a kid, this day has always fascinated me. Now it brings back memories of the bygone, smell of markets, the smell of Ittar, those morning Farz prayers with a wide smile n twinkling eyes. Those small hands that used to rise in Dua n those small feet that used to run for Eidi...That excitement to wear the new clothes n tell mom that am i looking good, n yes how can I forget when mom used to put Kajol in my eyes n behind my ear( to protect me from evil eyes)....those wishes n desires ...I never had the idea how those tiny moments will turn into memories like sand slipping through fingers. Tip-toed those moments walked away leaving behind footprints of bygone days. Lost n never to be found. EID Yes!...the name, the occasion, the rituals, the emotion, all remained the same but the time changed. Living far away from home the mere realisation I have now is the fact that I have all grown up which I don't want to be, the fact that no matter what, Family is Everything. You can't bring back time. EID Mubarak to Everyone P.S : Ghar Yaad aata hai Mujhe aur maa
