Egg shells
I walk softly so I don't hear the sounds of the ground cracking underneath my feet. Tiptoeing slowly so I don't make a peep. The house is quiet, everyone's asleep. That's when everything is calm and most at peace. The light is as loud as the noise would be. As you reach for your cell to stalk the book for new meat. I realize our cabinets are bare, that is why I see you look at me now with a blank stare. It's ok, I'm well aware. The cracking has become more profound, it is now covering more ground. I hate the sound of cracking underneath my feet. But that's what happens when you give chances to everyone you meet. Life is a gamble, and giving chances are a choice, but letting them stay or go is powered by your voice. Stabilizing yourself is the first order of business. There's a lot to do right now that will keep you busy. Repairing your framework, roof and foundation should be your next occupation. You've done enough, sugar coating, tip toeing and procrastinating. Drop to your knees and ask the Lord to please remove from me anything and anyone that isn't what you need.
