In the shadows of a silent clock, Where moments fade, and echoes mock, I chase the dusk with heavy breath, Each tick a whisper of approaching death. The stars, they tremble, dim their light, As I race the void of endless night, A spiral dance, my feet on flame, Yet every step feels just the same. I grasp at seconds, slipping fast, Fragments of a future lost in the past, The hands move slow, yet never still, Their silent song a haunting thrill. The hours, they bleed, a crimson hue, A sunset draped in shades of blue, Time devours all, with a feral grin, A ghostly whisper beneath the skin. But as the darkness swallows whole, The dying embers of my soul, I stand alone, with fate in sight, To greet the end, with no more fight. For in the void, where time has fled, We are but shadows, long since dead. And in that silence, deep and wide, I find my place where time resides.
