Eclipse
Eclipse by Jack A.S. Dunce I've asked the stars to guide me home They just stood still and stared at me, Unchanging, distant and aloof. In time, they hid among the clouds. I've poured myself into the night, Leaving not one secret unsaid. A silent confidant it stayed And takes all to its morning grave. I've pleaded my case with the Moon. Although she kept me company and even tried to comfort me, She never really understood. And when the dawn breaks once again, I'll be sleep walking through the day, Putting on a show for the sun, But raring to see an eclipse. --🏵️-- ©️pgmr 01/30/2026
