ECHOES OF SOLITUDE
In an empty halls, I wander alone A shadow of lovers, forever unknown No gentle touch, no warmth to share A solitary heart, no one to care. The city streets, a crowded space Yet, I am lost in a sea of lonely faces No hand to hold, no loving gaze Just the echoes of my lonely gaze. Nights are longest, darkest and cold A bed that is empty,a heart's that's old Tears fall silenced, like autumn rainbow Longing for love but in vain. I search for solace, night and day But find only shadows, fade away The fireworks that once burned, now reduced to ash A heartbeat once full, now a hollow clash.
