Echoes of silence
The sky is heavy, dark with rain, each drop a memory, soaked in pain. The whispers of a love once bright, now lost within the endless night. The stars, they flicker, then they die, like all the dreams we let pass by. Your touch, once warm, now feels like frost, a tender thing that's truly lost. I walk this road, but you're not there, a hollow ache hangs in the air. The world keeps turning, cold and wild, but I'm just left with my echoes, mild. And all that is left is silence, deep, the sorrow that I cannot keep. The past, it haunts me, won't release, and in its grasp, I find no peace.
