Echoes of Light
Echoes of Light by Jack A.S. Dunce From distant drifting days, Through clusters filled with haze, A journey long before The dawn of gods and lore. A single burst of light Broke off and took to flight At speeds no rules define, And eons worth of shine. It drifted deep through space, Not bound to any place, Until it just twinkles, Its light a mere sprinkle. Though only just a ghost Of what's left of its host, It still inspires wonder, Enough for me to ponder: Will all things fade in time? --🏵️-- ©️pgmr 08/01/2025 *Inspired by the dying Betelgeuse star.
