Echoes of Guilt
A curtain of fields, trembling in fear. What have you done, my innocent dear? The earth recoils under your touch, Did you not see? Or was it too much? A room full of colors, now empty and cold. Why weren’t you there when the story was told? The hues have faded, left without grace— Do you feel shame, or do you hide from this place? An unknown figure, tightening its grip. It squeezes your heart, and yet you don’t slip. The pain runs deep, though you don’t show— Why do you suffer, but let no one know? A bird that is singing, welcoming the day. But you beg for silence, you plead it away. Can I find peace, or will I persist, In living this way, with nothing but this?
