Echoes of Absence
A silence grips my soul, Where laughter once made me whole. A space within my heart, Now echoes with a lonely start. Memories of you linger near, A bittersweet and salty tear. I reach for your familiar hand, But find a void in this unfamiliar land. Time we shared, now taunt my mind, Reminding me of what's left behind. Our paths that once converged as one, Now diverge, like the setting sun. In dreams, I see your smiling face, A fleeting solace, a temporary grace. But dawn awakens to an ache, A grief that time cannot unmake. Yet even in death's dark veil, Our bond remains, a love that prevails. Though they gone, their memory stays, A bittersweet reminder of joyous days.
