Echoes of A Fractured Mind
I'm a masterpiece of self-doubt, a work of art in progress, A canvas of contradictions, where insecurities manifest. When did I become this attention-seeking mess? A fragile ego, propped up by validation's yes. My days are a series of false starts, a procrastinator's delight, The devil's whisper in my ear, "You're a sucker, day and night." I'm a yo-yo of emotions, bouncing between highs and lows, Depression's heavy chain, forever weighing me down, no reprieve. Don't ask me about my sadness, it's a Pandora's box, A toxic waste dump, where emotions go to rot. I'll sit alone, overthinking, until my mind implodes, A submarine of pain, sinking beneath the waves, no rescue boats. My thoughts are a jumble of dark humor and wit, A coping mechanism, to mask the pain I can't quit. I'm a master of self-deprecation, a jestering fool, Laughing on the outside, while inside, I'm dying, no rules. So, if you see me smiling, don't be fooled by the facade, I'm just a fractured mind, trying to make it through the day. And if you ask me how I'm doing, don't expect a honest reply, I'll just shrug and say, "I'm fine," while my mind is screaming, "I'm dying inside."
