Echoes of a fading world
In a time not far, beneath the skies so blue, The Earth was bright, alive with wondrous hue. The rivers danced, the forests stood so tall, But whispers grew, of change that would befall. The sun would rise, but fierce upon its throne, With warmth that scorched, and left the land alone. The glaciers wept, their tears a bitter chill, An ancient song, now caught in silence still. Oh listen close, to the tale that I will weave, Of creatures lost, of hearts that mourn and grieve. The bees, once buzzing, now struggle to survive, With flowers fading, their world no longer thrives. The oceans swell, with tempest strong and wild, Where dolphins played, now storms have raged and riled. The coral bleached, a ghostly white remains, A vibrant world now stitched with grief and stains. The winds they howl, through cities made of stone, Where once there bloomed, a garden all its own. The children gaze, with wonder in their eyes, Yet fear the shadows that obscure the skies. The farmers toil, with weather strange and brief, A harvest lost, their dreams are met with grief.
