*Echoes of a Fading Light*
In the mire, tears of a diamond fall, A fading light, a petal's frail call. A heart, once pure as cephalotes, Now tormented, in sorrow's dark throes. I plead for a rainbow after rain, For clarity to dispel the pain. But like a besieged heart, I recoil, Sneaking, surreptitiously, from life's turmoil. Hiding from the blowing wind, I search for solace, a peaceful mind. Yet, in the shadows, a light remains, A versatile heart, with love's sweet refrains By Bright
