Echoes of a Fading Friendship
I know our friendship was meant to last, So I cherished each moment, holding it fast. Now looking back, I miss those days, Memories linger in a nostalgic haze. I wish we could have stayed friends longer still, But I cling to the good times with all my will. There were three of us, then four joined in, But soon, one left, and our bond grew thin. One by one, our circle broke, Leaving behind memories we once spoke. Me and the third one, for so long we knew, But never thought she'd leave, too. Now, with four and three gone, it's just us two, Me and her, best friends through and through. Yet she's off with her love, drifting away, And here I remain, to face each day. Alone to roam in this vast world, Holding on to memories, tightly curled. I miss the laughter, the bond we shared, Wishing for moments when someone cared.
