Echoes of a Distant Dawn
Five years passed like whispers in the rain, Soft yet heavy, carved in pain. Not a sorrow, not regret, But a song the heart won’t forget. Like fireflies in the fading dusk, Glowing bright, then turning to dust. Yet in the dark, they leave a trace, A fleeting dance, a warm embrace. Some dreams bloom, some slip away, Yet shadows stretch beyond the day. What wasn’t meant to find its end, Still lingers, as a quiet friend. Not every star is meant to stay, Some just guide and drift away. Yet even lost, their shimmer gleams, A golden thread in woven dreams. No walls remain, no ties to bind, Only echoes left behind. Not a chapter left unread, But a voice that time has spread. For love is more than what we hold, It’s the stories left untold. And though the night may take its due, The dawn still glows in shades of you.
