Ebbs and Flows
You're gone but I still smell you on my clothes, Sometimes I wonder if this is the life I chose, To be so lost, to sway as the wind blows, I'm always alone weighing the cons and pros, But nonetheless, From my eyes, a river ebbs and flows. So I write it out in a painful prose, I hide it well, so nobody knows, How I feel so stuck, as if I froze, Yet it burns so hot, a fire rose, So I promise you this, I'll keep you warm through the highs and lows.
