eating from the inside out
In the quiet chamber of my mending heart, Where once there thrived a gentle art, The fissures heal, not as before, But with molten whispers at the core. Lava seeps through cracks anew, A fiery dance of a different hue, Consuming what was tender, mild, In its path, a transformation wild. My heart, it beats with warmth, it's true, But scorched by flames that seep on through, Melting away the past so sore, To forge a heart that is no more. And yet, in this fierce, relentless pyre, A spark remains, not all expire, For in destruction, there's rebirth, A chance to mold a heart of worth.
